Fire Safety Policy and Procedures 

Whilst a separate fire safety policy is not always required, many organisations will benefit from a separate policy that sets out the commitment to managing the risk of fire. We can     support you to review an existing policy or develop a new one. Procedures must be in place, documented and practised for the safe evacuation of persons from with a building or other place of work such as a construction site. Where there are  persons with a higher level of vulnerability such as mobility   issues, sensory or cognitive impairment whether permanent or temporary, individual evacuation plans often referred to as PEEP’s (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans). We can   assist in reviewing and documenting procedures specific to your workplace, developing PEEPs and support in training staff and overseeing evacuation practices.

Fire Risk Assessment

Fire risk assessments a systematic look at a workplace to     assess the risk of a fire starting and causing harm to either   occupants or property. The process looks at systems and   procedures in place to reduce the risk of a fire starting, how a fire would be identified and how persons would respond. Once a fire risk assessment has been completed, there may be     actions required to improve fire safety such as better training, housekeeping or passive fire protection improvements if   building fabric compartmentation has been breached or fire doors aren’t compliant. Whilst we do not undertake fire risk   assessments, we can support you to find a competent fire risk assessor and support you with the reviewing and                  implementation of required actions, including arranging for fire related works to be completed as required.
